Direct Selling Association of Malaysia Celebrates its 35th Anniversary

In 1978, four direct selling companies formed the Direct Selling Association of Malaysia (DSAM) in order to have one voice and promote the industry on a national and international level. Over the years, DSAM has been active with supporting its member companies in the areas of governance, education, communications and consumer protection and ethics.

Thirty five years later, DSAM is celebrating its 35th Anniversary with activities lined up throughout the year including phase two of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Consumer Education and Protection Initiative (CEPI) which was launched in partnership with WFDSA in 2001. The celebration will culminate with the 35th Anniversary Convention and Gala dinner which will be held on September 18, 2013. Some of the highlights of the convention will be a forum on “Wealth Management for Successful Direct Sellers” and the top three leaders from DSAM’s sixty-four member companies will receive industry recognition.
