As we approach the end of 2020, we will look upon this year as one that has been meaningful in so many ways. Never before in my lifetime, have we shared an issue so global that we have all been equally impacted.
This year has been very unusual and has forced us to work differently than we had in the past. It has kept us physically apart from one another, but never before have we felt so connected. Whatever language we speak, whichever country we inhabit, whatever philosophies we embrace, we have all had similar experiences in 2020 as we worked to stay safe and stay healthy.
Our day-to-day languages may be different, our customs unique, but keeping our families safe and protecting one’s health is universal. This year our common interests in getting the job done while keeping our families and ourselves safe and healthy, proved to be a global endeavor shared by all. In that regard, we speak one universal language and physical distance has not been a factor.
Let’s continue to stay safe, close out 2020 as we move into 2021 and look forward to continuing and renewing our friendships and acquaintances. Let’s look forward to our next in-person meeting, when we can once again reunite and continue — in-person — to share and advance our common interests.
Let’s rejoice regarding our health as we close out 2020 and look forward to a new, healthy, and exciting year in 2021.
