End of Year Message from WFDSA Executive Director – Tamuna Gabilaia
Twenty-two years ago, visionary WFDSA Chairman Dick DeVos hired me as the first-ever Executive Director of WFDSA to lead and transform the federation. The direct selling industry is all about resilience, innovation, and the power of human connections. It’s been incredible to witness and contribute to the remarkable progress we’ve made together.
The strength of WFDSA lies in the forward-thinking leadership that has guided us forward. Our remarkable chairmen and more importantly, extraordinary human beings, each brought their unique vision and wisdom that has shaped our global influence: Dick DeVos (2003-2005); Truman Hunt (2005-2008), Andrea Jung (2008-2011),
Alessandro Carlucci (2011-2014), Doug DeVos (2014-2017), Magnus Brannstrom (2017-2020), and Roger Barnett (2020- present). Their leadership, combined with the dedication of our amazing Operating Group, DSAs, the CEO Council, has been essential to everything we’ve achieved.
Together, we’ve built a thriving global community founded on ethical standards, international collaboration, and stronger than ever DSAs. Through partnerships with stakeholders worldwide, we’ve created opportunities that strengthen our industry and exemplify direct selling’s impact.
At its heart, direct selling is about people. It’s about helping dreams come true, opening doors for others, and building relationships that last a lifetime. While technology and innovation continue to shape our world, the personal connections at the core of our industry remain more important than ever.
I’m thrilled about what’s ahead for all of us. In a time where change is constant and innovation happens daily, the world becomes more fascinating and full of possibilities. Every day brings new ways of thinking, connecting, and creating – and that’s what makes every journey so exciting. The opportunities to adapt, grow, and reimagine what’s possible are endless.
