End of Year Message – WFDSA Chairman – Roger Barnett
Dear Colleagues:
As we begin the new year, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for all those who work so diligently to support our industry, the Company Executives, DSA leaders, WFDSA Board of Delegates, AAC members, WFDSA executives and staff and of course, our distributors and representatives who are the very heart of our industry. Thank you for your commitment and dedication to WFDSA and for all the time, effort, and passion you put into our common purpose.
As we look back on 2021, together we accomplished a lot:
- We increased our impact as an industry. Our collective sales grew by 2.3% to $179 billion, and there are now more than 125 million people who are part of our industry
- We clearly articulated our vision of change to Redefine, Reimagine and Reinvent our industry.
- We successfully executed our first virtual World Congress which had both the largest and most diverse participation in our history. A huge thank you to the Thai DSA for all of your hard work in making the World Congress such a great success.
- We also set an ambitious agenda for enhancing the reputation of our industry and moving beyond compliance. And the critical initiatives of Reputation Enhancement, Ethics and Beyond Ethics, and Global Legal and Regulatory are moving along as planned and will begin shortly to move to their next phases.
2022 is the year to accelerate all these initiatives and we will share our progress as we continue to move forward.
We are looking forward to publishing the 2022 Industry Research Statistical results in June, and to resuming in-person meetings such as the Association Performance Programs / Secretaries Seminar, Board of Delegates Meeting and CEO Council Meeting, as soon as circumstances allow.
I am grateful for all you have accomplished during 2021, and am excited about all that we will do to make 2022 our best year ever.
Warm regards,
Roger Barnett
