WFDSA supported the third French DSA (FVD) Academic Seminar on “Innovation and Commerce” which took place at the University of Paris-East Creteil on April 9, 2015. The event was attended by over 120 participants from the direct selling industry, academics and university students. The event focused on various topics such as customer advocacy behaviors and home-shopping behaviors. WFDSA Executive Director, Tamuna Gabilaia presented on the global direct selling industry, entrepreneurship and global academic initiatives.
The FVD and the University of Paris-East Creteil have officially launched the first European academic degree dedicated to the direct selling industry with the support of the French Ministry of Higher Education. The three year bachelor degree is titled “Professional License in Marketing and Management of Direct Selling Companies”. The program will be launched in September 2015.
After two years of work, Chairman Philippe Jacquelinet and General Secretary Jacques Cosnefroy are very proud about the creation of this academic degree: “It’s a major step for the industry recognition by the public institutions in France and in Europe too. And we would like to thank the WFDSA for its ongoing support and its help in this framework”.
