Your consumer is showing a LOT of interest … but what do YOU have to do, as an ethical seller, before they sign the check or credit slip?

The WFDSA Code of Ethics states Direct Sellers must offer or explain to ALL Consumers the following: 1) accurate and complete Product explanations and demonstrations regarding price and, if applicable, credit terms; 2) Terms of payment; 3) A cooling-off period, including return policies; 4) Terms of guarantee; 5) After-sales service; and 6) Delivery date information. In addition, “Direct Sellers shall give accurate and understandable answers to all questions from Consumers. To the extent claims are made with respect to product efficacy, Direct Sellers shall make only those verbal or written product claims that are authorized by the Company.”  Make sure the Consumer understands everything.
